    On Wednesday, Phil,  Mark, Jon, and Tharyn explored Boston to experience the latest in park and play environment design. They visited the Rose Kennedy Greenway and the Boston Society of Architects (BSA) exhibit "Extraordinary Playscapes" at the Boston Architectural Center (BAC).

  • New Housing Development Approved

    Thanks to the efforts of the entire project team, Liberty Place, a new 21-unit affordable living complex was approved last night by the Town of Clinton P&Z Commission. (TO Design, LLC, Paul B. Bailey Architects, Brad Schide, LLC development consultant, Civil 1, REMA Ecological Services, LLC, KWH Enterprise, LLC traffic engineers, and  HMR&S, LLC attorneys.)

    We are thrilled to announce that Jon Tunsky and his wife, Kelly, are now proud parents of a beautiful, healthy baby boy. Benjamin Thomas Tunsky blessed this world on June 7, 2016 at 6:11PM. Both Mom and baby are doing well and are settling in at home.

    As a local New Britain business who focuses on the landscape and environment, we donated and planted a tree today on the west side of our office at 114 West Main Street (the Old Post Office Plaza). As landscape architects, we planted in observance of Arbor Day and in honor of Frederick Law Olmsted (the father of landscape architecture and designer of Walnut Hill Park).

  • State Board of LA's Elects New Chairman

    Phil Barlow was recently elected as the new chairman of the State Board of Landscape Architects, replacing Vincent McDermott, FASLA, AICP, who retired after 30+ years as chair. Under the direction of the Department of Consumer Protection, this board is responsible for protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the public by establishing standards for licensure and enforcing the laws and regulations that govern the practice of landscape architecture in the State of Connecticut.
