  • TO Design Adds Credentials


    Congratulations to Phil Barlow and Mary Dehais on their newly acquired professional certifications. Phil recently passed the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) exam, and Mary passed the Certified Accredited Nursery Professionals (CANP) exam.  Mary will be recognized at a special awards banquet at the Aqua Turf next year.

    TO Design adds another award to its list of accolades for work performed at Saugatuck Congregational Church in Westport, CT.

  • CT ASLA Newest Trustee


    Phil Barlow was recently elected by the CT Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects as their new Trustee, and will act as a liaison between the local chapter and national organization. The Trustee is elected by the Chapter membership to serve as their representative to the National society. The Board of Trustees establishes policies and priorities, provides fiduciary oversight, and monitors the budget of the national organization.

  • Discover New Britain Bike Tour


    TO Design's Phil Barlow supports the Discover New Britain Bike Tour sponsored by the City of New Britain and Bike Walk CT on Sunday, September 27, 2015.  Approximately 250 cyclists made the trek from Walnut Hill Park to Batterson Park, and through the historic "Little Poland" neighborhood.  The tour featured 10-mile, 25-mile and 50-mile routes, and ended with brunch on the patio of the New Britain Museum of American Art, a newly bike-friendly city landmark.


  • Winding Trails Master Plan


    Master planning is as much about people and process as it is about product. In the summer of 2015, TO Design, LLC had the pleasure of working with the staff and membership of Winding Trails in Farmington to produce a master plan that will guide them in the coming decade. 

  • New Projects - Keney Park and Pope Park


    We are pleased to announce that TO Design, LLC has been selected by the City of Hartford to design two new play areas in Keney Park, and plans for a new ballfield in Pope Park.  This is a wonderful opportunity to enrich the lives of children in the capital area!

  • Promotion of Mark W. Fisher


    We are pleased to announce the promotion of Mark W. Fisher to Principal.  Mark, who started as a draftsman and rose through the ranks at TO Design, has been a dedicated member of our team for over 14 years. His commitment and creativity have helped position our company as a leader in the design of municipal, school, and affordable housing projects.  Mark is also a dedicated volunteer in the Hartford community and the West End neighborhood in which he resides. His signature projects include:

    • Sigourney Park Renovations, Hartford
    • Streetscape Improvements to Broad Street, New Britain
    • Willow Street Park, New Britain
    • Sport and Medical Sciences Academy, Hartford
