Construction Administration 101

November 12th, 2020

Principal Landscape Architect Jon Tunsky took To Design team members around Chesley Park in New Britain to review the ins and outs of the construction administration process.

As landscape architects, a large part of our job is to ensure that the design and details of each project are constructed according to the contract documents. When projects are being built, we consistently need to review the construction process.

When projects are completed, we return to the site and note anything that needs to be corrected, reconstructed, resurfaced, and more.

We joined Jon at a walk-through of his punch list of items at Chesley Park. To Design completed the site design, construction documents, and construction administration for this much-used urban park.

Jon explains how the new concrete wall at the handball court was built.

Jon reviewing how he checks the grade of an accessible route leading into the park.

We had a wonderful time, thanks for the pointers, Jon!
