Project Details
The Miracle League of Connecticut, whose motto is “Every Child Deserves a Chance to Play”, has built New England's first Miracle League Field located adjacent on the corner of Trout Brook Drive and Asylum Avenue. Miracle League Field is a specially designed, fully-accessible field that allows physically and mentally challenged children to play baseball. The flush, rubberized wheelchair-accessible field and dugouts were built surrounded by the traditional grass and dirt baseball/softball fields of an existing Little League Complex. The Miracle League Field, with its accessible playing surface, literally levels the playing field to allow the children the ability to play the sport like everyone else.
