December 4th, 2017

A new library is on its way to Hartford! We’ve recently received approvals from the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Planning and Zoning Commission on the new Park Street Branch Library in the Frog Hollow district of Hartford.
TO Design worked with TSKP Studio to design the site which includes a courtyard at the rear of the building. The new 13,000 square-foot building will be on the grounds of the abandoned Lyric Theatre. It is planned to replace the existing 2,000 square-foot facility currently housed in a rented building a few blocks away.
The Park Street Branch of the Hartford Public Libraries is one of the busiest in the city, and is in need of expansion and improvements. Residents of the local community have been requesting an expanded facility for nearly 30 years.
You can read more about the project in the Hartford Courant.
